US market closed high on Friday: Today, Wall Street ended high, with the S&P500 index increasing 0.63 per-cent to 2,072.78 and the Dow Jones Industrial Average climbing by 0.61 per-cent to 17,792.75.
Data concluded in the US on Friday last week showed non-farm payrolls raised by around 215,000 & unemployment ahead to 5 per-cent from an 8-year low of 4.9 per-cent. The jobless rate rose as more people continued to seek work, a sign of confidence in the job market, a Reuters report noted.
